The Athlete Place is the future of athlete support. This is something I have never seen before, a complete, 360-degree approach that guides not just the athlete, but the person behind the performance. It is a game-changer for young athletes in their sport and life beyond. I wish I had this when I was starting out.

The gap

Most young
athletes quit
before age 18.

Not for lack of talent. For lack of guidance.

You and your coaches already know that what decides an athlete's future happens away from the training ground.

Finding the hours and the expertise to cover it, for a whole cohort, is the problem.

A young athlete sitting out a session

01

Mindset, fuelling, pressure, identity. It all matters, and none of it fits into a session plan.

The Athlete Place
has you covered.

We’ve created two platforms.
One for teenage athletes, the other for their parents.

The Athlete Place platform shown on a laptop and a phone

For your athletes

A platform built for teenage athletes.

A library of 80+ topics, there whenever an athlete needs it, plus the ready-made learning pathways that give them structure. Use ours, or have us build them around your programme.

  • Supplements your existing programme
  • Saves your staff time
  • Fills the gaps in staff knowledge
  • A modern approach to learning
  • Hybrid of screen and off-screen learning
  • Safeguarding compliant
  • Added value for parents and stakeholders

The guidance library

Everything a young athlete needs, in one place.

Content created alongside elite athletes, sports psychologists, nutritionists and student-athlete mentors.

Ready-made athlete
development pathways.

Hand a teenager the full library and most won’t know where to begin. A pathway removes that decision. We’ve made six so you don’t have to, each designed to progress as the athlete does.

80+ topics is a lot.
Pathways make it manageable.

    Included in every licence

No add-ons, no upsells. It all comes as standard.

Everything below is part of the same annual fee, for every athlete on your licence.

    Elite Athlete Insights

Interviews with athletes across sports, talking honestly about the parts nobody prepared them for.

    Quizzes & progress

Every lesson ends with a short quiz, so athletes check understanding and your staff can see engagement.

    Printable journals

Reflection sheets for most topics, so the learning carries on away from the screen.

    Expert directory

Vetted specialists we signpost to, for the moments a lesson isn't enough on its own.

    And now for their parents…

The people who shape the environment around a young athlete.

    For their parents

A platform built for their parents.

Home shapes performance more than most sessions ever will. Every parent on your licence gets their own platform, so the guidance your athletes receive is backed up rather than undone at the kitchen table.

    • Key topics, from the parent’s perspective The same subjects, rewritten for a parent. Plus courses on Athlete Parenting and Family Impacts.
    • Three ready-made pathways One for each stage of their athlete's journey, so parents know where to start without any input from your staff.
    • The elite athlete interviews The same interviews your athletes watch, so athletes and parents are on the same page.

    How it can be delivered

    The perfect supplement
    to any youth sport programme.

Every topic is built in three parts. Athletes learn the subject, test whether it stuck, then apply it to their own sport in the journal. That structure is also what makes it flexible: teach it, set it as homework, use it one to one, or leave athletes to work through it themselves.

    What one topic contains

    01 · Learn

    10 mins The lesson

Written and filmed content with an elite athlete or expert. Short by design, so athletes finish it.

    02 · Check

    5 mins The quiz

A short, manageable quiz, brief enough not to put anyone off. A 100% pass is required, so athletes have to understand a topic before they move on to the next one.

    03 · Apply

    30–45 mins The worksheet

Printable reflection work that asks athletes to apply the topic to their own sport, their own season, their own situation.

    Per topic

~1 hour of structured learning, with minimal prep from your staff

Six ways programmes actually run it

These are the models our partner schools and academies use. Pick one, or move between them as the season allows. The three marked with a star work best together, and that combination is how our strongest programmes run it.

    📚

    Classroom-led session

Put the lesson up on screen and work through it together, in a tutor slot, PSHE period or squad meeting. Nothing to prepare, just open it and go.

    🏠

    Quiz and worksheet as homework

Teach it in the room, then set the quiz and worksheet to be completed at home. Learning continues without another timetable slot.

    🤝

    One-to-one mentor sessions

Athletes complete the worksheet beforehand and bring it along, or work through it together in the session itself. Either way, every meeting has a structure and a subject.

    🏃

    Self-paced, coach-backed

A login on its own won't drive engagement. The programmes that work best are the ones where coaches back it, mention it and ask about it. The more your staff buy in, the more your athletes do.

    🩹

    Injured or out of season

An athlete who can't train can still develop. Keeps them connected to the programme through the period they're most likely to drift.

    👥

    Parent workshops

Run a session for parents using the matching parent content, or send the pathway home ahead of a parents' evening.

Any order. Any mix. Minimal prep either way. Change the model mid-year without changing the content, the licence or the cost.

See how it would run for you

    Think long term

    Set it up once.
    It runs year on year.

Each September every athlete moves up to the next pathway and your new intake starts at the beginning. Nobody repeats content, joiners slot straight in at their year group, and as we add new topics and interviews, you get them at no extra cost. Year one it saves your staff time. By year three it's simply how your programme works.

    phone-free schools.

In your setting it runs on your devices, under your filtering and your rules. Outside it, athletes can carry on wherever they are. Laptops, tablets, shared computers or phones, it works the same on all of them.

    Either way

In school or at the academy

    On your devices, your rules.

Lessons and quizzes run on whatever you already use, with your safeguarding software applied. The journal is downloaded and completed however suits you, printed or in PowerPoint. Whatever your device policy is, it fits.

    • Nothing they write comes back to usTheir journal reflections stay with the athlete and with you.

    Outside school hours

    And it travels with them.

At home, on the coach to a fixture, or the night before a final. The app puts the whole library in their pocket, so athletes have access to topics as and when they need them.

    • ×
No endless scrollingNothing designed to keep them there longer than the lesson.

    • Journals download from the appPick up where they left off, then print or work offline.

    Two ways in. One programme.

Whichever way your athletes work through it, the pathway, the progress and the reporting are exactly the same.

    Safeguarding & duty of care

    Safe in their hands,
    when nobody is watching.

Young athletes work through this on their own, often on subjects they would never raise in front of anyone. We have put a great deal into making sure it's a safe place for them to do that, and something the staff around them can trust without having to check it first.

    Who checked it

Where relevant, content is audited by accredited specialists.

Not written by a content team and signed off internally. We work with leading practitioners across the subject areas that need them, so the content is safe, credible, and written in a way young athletes actually take in.

Independently reviewed Specialist input across the subjects that call for it
    • It points them to you, not to us Where a topic touches something serious, athletes are prompted to speak to a trusted adult in your organisation. A starting point for the conversation, never a substitute for your staff.
    • Nobody can contact an athlete No chat, no comments, no messaging, no contact between users of any kind. There is no route through the platform for anyone at all to reach a young person.
    • Their writing stays in your systems Journals are printed or filled in on your devices and saved to your folders. Quizzes are general knowledge in the third person. No personal writing ever reaches us.
    • No AI for athletes to talk to No chatbot, no companion, nothing an athlete can hold a conversation with. If a young person needs to talk to someone, we point them to a real adult, not a machine.
    • Reinforces your safeguarding lead Preventive, awareness-led content aligned to safeguarding best practice. It supports what your organisation already teaches rather than cutting across it.

    Why this exists

Nobody told me the hard part happens away from training.

I competed for Great Britain as a junior in the 400m hurdles, and won national age-group titles along the way. On paper it looked like it was going well.

Off paper I was dealing with injury, burnout, and things nobody had prepared me for. I was studying sport science at Loughborough at the time, surrounded by expertise, and I still could not find the guidance I actually needed. I lost the sport I loved, and part of myself in the process.

Most young athletes who quit don't leave because they were not good enough. They leave because nobody helped them with the parts that happen away from training. That was true for me, and it's still true now.

So I built the place I needed. The elite athletes, the experts, the honest conversations, all of it in one place, for the athletes coming up behind me.
