For schools, performance academies & clubs

Training is onlypart of the story.

The habits that decide whether young athletes thrive or quit are built between sessions. Sleep, fuelling, confidence, pressure, setbacks.

We guide every athlete in your school, academy or club through all of it.

The Athlete Place is the future of athlete support. This is something I have never seen before, a complete, 360-degree approach that guides not just the athlete, but the person behind the performance. It is a game-changer for young athletes in their sport and life beyond. I wish I had this when I was starting out.

Too many young
athletes quit
before age 18.

Not for lack of talent. For lack of guidance.

You and your coaches already know that what decides an athlete's future happens away from the training ground.

Finding the hours and the expertise to cover it, for a whole cohort, is the problem.

A young athlete sitting out a session

Mindset, fuelling, pressure, identity. It all matters, and none of it fits into a session plan.

The Athlete Place
has you covered.

The Athlete Place platform shown on a laptop and a phone

A platform built for teenage athletes.

A library of 80+ topics, there whenever an athlete needs it, plus the ready-made learning pathways that give them structure. Use ours, or have us build them around your programme.

  • Supplements your existing programme
  • Saves your staff time
  • Fills the gaps in staff knowledge
  • Built with safeguarding in mind

The perfect supplement
to any youth sport programme.

Every topic runs through the same three stages. Athletes learn the subject, prove it landed, then apply it to their own sport. That structure is what makes it flexible.

You can teach it in the room, set it as homework, use it one to one, or let athletes work through it themselves. A mixture of each works best.

How it works

1
Learn

The lesson

10 mins

Written and filmed content with an elite athlete or expert. Bitesize by design.

2
Check

The quiz

5 mins

To pass the topic and move on to the next, athletes must get 100% on the quiz.

3
Apply

The worksheet

30–45 mins

Reflection tasks encourage athletes to apply what they've learned to their own situation.

With everything they need, in one place.

Content created alongside elite athletes, sports psychologists, nutritionists and student-athlete mentors.

80+ topics is too much for a teenage athlete to navigate alone. We created Pathways to make the learning experience easier for all involved.

What are Pathways?

Ten topics, hand-picked from across our eleven courses and delivered in a pre-set order to provide structure. Six Pathways come as standard, see them below.

    The bonus

    Answers to the questions
    that really matter.

Before a programme like this goes ahead, decision makers need straight answers.

    Choose an area

Safe in their hands, when nobody is watching.

    • Nobody can contact an athlete

No chat, no comments, no messaging. There is no user-to-user contact anywhere on the platform.

    • No AI for athletes to talk to

No chatbot, no companion. If a young person needs to talk, we point them to a real adult.

    • It points them to you, not to us

Where a topic touches something serious, athletes are prompted to speak to a trusted adult in your organisation.

    • We can’t see it. We can’t act on it.

Journals are completed and kept off-platform, printed or saved on your own devices. We never see what’s written in one, so acting on anything concerning is down to you, not us.

    • Where relevant, content is audited

We work with leading practitioners across the subject areas that need them, so the content is safe and credible.

Here’s exactly what we ask for.
    And what we don’t.

    • We only ask for

Name, school, year group, school email. The essentials for login and for delivering the correct pathway. Nothing more.

    • We don’t see their journals

Journals are printed or downloaded to be completed, and we’d recommend keeping them on your own devices and systems. Whichever way they’re done, the entries aren’t sent to us.

    • ICO registered

ZB958464, registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

    • Documentation on request

DPA provided as standard. Full policy pack available whenever your DPO needs it.

    No phone needed in school.

    • No phone required

A computer suite, a shared laptop or a tablet is all it takes. Nothing here depends on a pupil having their own phone in school.

    • Journals, your way

Print them, or download and complete them in PowerPoint or Word on your own device.

    • No endless scrolling

Ten minutes at a time, bite-sized by design. Built to teach, not to hook, so there’s nothing here designed to keep them scrolling once the lesson ends.

    • And it travels with them

Outside school, the app puts the whole library in their pocket, on their own phone, for home, the coach to a fixture, or the night before a final.

    Ready for inspection.

    • A recorded, sequenced programme

Pathways cover subject areas like wellbeing, mindset and nutrition, delivered in a planned order.

    • Proof it was delivered, not just planned

Each topic ends in a quiz that must be passed, so you get a dated record of what was covered, and by whom.

    • What they’ve learned, applied to real life

Journals accompany our most essential topics, demonstrating that what was learned has been applied to the athlete, their sport, and life beyond sport.

    • Know who’s engaged

We send completion reporting at intervals through the year. In between, an athlete can show you their own account and the topics they’ve finished.

    There’s a platform
    for parents, too.

This isn’t a copy of the athlete platform. Every topic is reframed for a parent’s point of view, plus a set of topics built just for them.

The parent platform on a laptop and a phone

    Because parents
    have questions too.

Home shapes performance and wellbeing more than most realise. What they eat, how they sleep, and the conversations that build their confidence.

Parents can shape all of it, once they know what’s needed.

As parents of sporty children, we all have questions, experiences and concerns, and having a safe space where we can learn is fantastic.

Melanie AnningMum of Great Britain sprinter Amber Anning

    Support shapes how
    they play, and feel.

Even the people at the top agree: knowing a sport is not the same as knowing how to support the athlete. That’s exactly what the parent platform covers.

I have two children of my own, and they will no doubt face similar challenges. So I want to know how best I can support them through the sometimes difficult periods.

    Chris JonesCEO, England Athletics

    Making parents
    part of the team.

Most parents think they’ve got this covered. But few properly understand what it takes. Back the parent and you back the athlete: the part most programmes leave out.

I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support my parents give me. It is important they get support too, so they know how important they are in our journeys.

    Why this exists

Nobody told me the hard part happens away from training.

I competed for Great Britain as a junior in the 400m hurdles, and won national age-group titles along the way. On paper it looked like it was going well.

Off paper I was dealing with injury, burnout, and things nobody had prepared me for. I was studying sport science at Loughborough at the time, surrounded by expertise, and I still could not find the guidance I actually needed. I lost the sport I loved, and part of myself in the process.

Most young athletes who quit don't leave because they were not good enough. They leave because nobody helped them with the parts that happen away from training. That was true for me, and it's still true now.

So I built the place I needed. The elite athletes, the experts, the honest conversations, all of it in one place, for the athletes coming up behind me.
